Alessandro Stradella short biography

One of the finest Italian Baroque composers, Alessandro Stradella was also an outstanding singer and violinist. Stradella was murdered as documented in an official record in Modena. Stradella was the most distinguished composer of chamber cantatas. Stradella’s style was passionate and more innovative than that of other composers of the period. Stradella's mysterious life and death was the subject of a number of novels and operas.
