One of the greatest and the most popular musicians of all time, Franz Schubert spent his tragically short life in Vienna. Schubert was never able to secure any official position or attract any patronage that many composers got before and after him. Schubert's health was poor, especially during his final years. Many of Schubert’s compositions remain unfinished. Franz Schubert's today has become one of the most performed composers ever.
