Francis Poulenc short biography

The outstanding French composer Francis Poulenc was the member of Les Six.  Poulenc studied with Charles Koechlin. Stravinsky admired Poulenc’s works and recommended him to Diaghilev, who commissioned Poulenc the ballet Les Biches. Poulenc’s many songs are considered the most outstanding examples of the genre.
