A great Spanish composer who won an exceptional international recognition, Manuel de Falla started his musical studies in his native Cadiz, later moving to Madrid and to Paris. After returning to Spain de Falla settled in Granada, where his friend and a poet Federico Garcia Lorca lived. In 1939, de Falla moved to Buenos Aires and continued working on his enormous and  ambitious stage-work project Atlántida, that he could not complete before his death.
