Dandrieu short biography
An influential French composer, Jean-Francois Dandrieu was a student of Moreau. Dandrieu was appointed the organist at St. Merry and later accepted same duties at St. Barthélemy. In 1721, Dandrieu assumed a very important position of the Royal chapel organist. Highly acclaimed as a harpsichord composer, Dandrieu composed a great number of works for the instrument including suites and trio sonatas. Dandrieu’s organ Noels were very popular at the time.
